R2 2009 Features Anticipated for Release March 12th, 2009
R2 2009 Become familiar with the following key enhancements hitting your screen March 12th at 11:55 pm ET.

Ability to lock versions - We now have a feature where you can lock any version of a document from future editing. This lock cannot be removed in any way other than deleting the document. A description of why the lock was made can also be entered, such as sending the version externally by fax, mail, email, etc. This provides you a "canonized" version of a publicly delivered document. Create barcode scanning coversheets - at the folder level. The scanned document will inherit the profile data applied to the folder, allowing you to reuse the bar code cover sheet for all documents that should get filed to the respective folder. Today, our bar code integration ONLY WORKS with HP scanners that support their SDSS software. View Demo

NetBinders are growing up - becoming more like folders. Marked items options work the same now as they do in folders, and the Review feature is available, and you can import multiple documents from your PC directly into a NetBinder. View Demo

OpenSearch Suggestions - When using IE8, if you are logged into NetDocuments, and any workspace title is included in the search, we will add search suggestions for that workspace. View Demo

Hiding the profile when ... - adding a doc within a folder, and when opening a version from a list view page, i.e., search result, folder view, recent docs, etc. Seems simple, yet it will have a nice enduser impact. View Demo

More cool EMS features ... - Highlight a workspace in Outlook, click the Email Search button, and it will automatically complete that search in NetDocuments for that workspace. View Demo
