A visit to the Web site of Broad and
Cassel, LLP, demonstrates their commitment to providing clients the very
best technology has to offer when it comes to the practice of law. They
have a page dedicated to their "Technology Statement" and what it means
for clients. Read the entire
statement here.
In pursuit of their commitment to offer
clients' excellent service Broad and Cassel has signed on to employ
NetDocuments, the LexisNexis document, email and records management
service. NetDocuments securely stores documents and emails with its
built-in extranet capability and disaster recovery repository —
eliminating all overhead associated with local management of servers with
its externally hosted software-as-a-service (SaaS) model delivered via the
Web.
With roughly 200 dedicated attorneys, working from eight
office locations and serving more than twenty-five practice areas,
integrating the single-repository accessible from any Internet-connected
device was a logical step for improving the efficiency of Broad and
Cassel's business. "NetDocuments provides us with a central storage area
for documents that can be easily accessed from any location," said Alice
Nesbitt, Director of Technology Services for Broad and Cassel. "In
addition to enhancing our ability to service clients quickly and reliably,
we anticipate a substantial reduction in overall maintenance costs this
year due to the available built-in business continuity feature of the
service."
NetDocuments also provides law firms with a less costly
and more streamlined approach to document and email management. Searches
can return more accurate and relevant results in three to five seconds —
minimizing time and the need for repeated searching. Remote access via
NetDocuments also operates without any server-side hardware or software,
which relieves any IT staff from the burden of maintaining a virtual
private network.
NetDocuments is part of the LexisNexis® Practice
Management solution line, which provides services and tools proven to
improve firm productivity and profitability. LexisNexis® Total Practice
Solutions is the company's overarching offering of solutions that help
lawyers and law firms succeed in the business and practice of law.
LexisNexis offerings are specifically designed for the way legal
professionals work, in all of the areas essential to their success,
including Client Development, Research Solutions, Practice Management and
Litigation Services.
