Today marked the beginning of Inspire — the NetDocuments annual user conference — in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. And the energy was unmatched.

From inspiring keynotes to thought-provoking discussions, industry leaders, experts, and peers have come together to explore how intelligent document management and legal technology are revolutionizing the way we work.

Catch up on the biggest takeaways, emerging trends, and powerful insights shared on day one.

Kicking Off with the Keynote

The conference started with a powerful look at how NetDocuments is transforming the legal workplace through innovation, intelligence, and user empowerment. Attendees experienced firsthand how the new agentic AI tools, including the Editing and Extraction Tools, are reshaping the document management system (DMS) into an active collaborator that streamlines drafting and data extraction.

“Technology is evolving so rapidly and is being paced only by the exploration of ways to apply it. The knowledge that sits at the heart of your legal organizations has never held more potential to transform the way you practice law,” said CEO, Josh Baxter.

“A DMS is no longer a static repository to store and find your content. It has fundamentally changed. Your DMS is a strategic platform – an intelligent colleague – that works alongside you and enriches your day, your work,” Baxter adds.

Turning Content into Actionable Knowledge with AI

In other sessions, the introduction of smarter AI-powered profiling, enrichment and legal-specific taxonomies also showed how law firms can turn their content into actionable knowledge with ease.

“By combining dynamic metadata with legal-specific taxonomies, firms can finally search smarter, report faster, and govern their data with confidence — all while setting the stage for next-generation agentic AI,” said Heath Harris, Senior Director, Applied AI, NetDocuments. “It’s a smarter, cleaner way to turn your firm’s information into real intelligence.”

Beyond AI

Additional updates like the redesigned Help Center support site underscored NetDocuments commitment to usability and customer success.

“Users now have faster answers, clearer learning paths, and a real voice in shaping the platform’s future,” said Brandon Russell, VP, Customer Success. “It’s support that doesn’t just keep you running — it helps you grow, innovate, and make the most out of every feature NetDocuments offers.”

Sessions also focused on new everyday enhancements designed to make your day-to-day work smoother, faster, and more connected.

“From a sleek new upload experience that supports massive 50 GB files to deeper Microsoft Teams integration and smarter access controls, every enhancement is built to save time and strengthen security,” said Travis Reed, Director, Product, NetDocuments. “These updates are all about making the platform work harder for you — so you can spend less time managing files and more time getting work done.”

Customer Recognition

A special round of applause to our award winners announced today. These organizations are redefining how they use the NetDocuments platform — driving adoption, breaking down silos with powerful integrations, modernizing corporate legal ops, transforming public-sector workflows, and leading in Latin America. Their dedication inspires us all, and we’re proud to honor their achievements.

The Future Is Now

Altogether, the day highlighted a clear theme: innovation that’s practical, scalable, and built to help legal professionals work smarter, not harder.
