Integrated legal cloud DMS solution addresses accessibility, mobility, security and usability challenges.

Tikit, part of the BT Group and leading provider of technology solutions for law and professional services firms, has today announced a new business win with NetDocuments. Al Bawardi Critchlow, a London-based commercial law firm with a particular focus on high value and cross-border disputes resolution, has selected NetDocuments’ native cloud-based document management system (DMS) supplied by Tikit.

Al Bawardi Critchlow were looking to replace their current DMS software to improve its capabilities as well as meet the demands of a mobile workforce. “As a growing SME-sized law firm with a strong international focus, the Tikit and NetDocuments offering ticked all of our key boxes,” says Vicky Bull, Practice Manager at Al Bawardi Critchlow. “The solution is extremely user- friendly, fully scalable, and works across all desktop and mobile platforms. And, because it’s a cloud-based service, the cost of maintaining the solution is low – especially considering that top-level security and disaster recovery backup are included. Ultimately fee earners just felt they could use it the day they saw it”.

Bull adds, “The partnership between Tikit and NetDocuments was relevant to the buying decision, because it means the firm’s DMS upgrade will be as straightforward as possible. Tikit’s longstanding expertise in PMS and DMS implementation was an important factor in our decision to engage the company to deploy NetDocuments. We were also very impressed by the fact that nearly 400 firms, of hugely varying sizes, had purchased NetDocuments in 2016.”

The arrangement also allows for other forms of cooperation between the two legal solutions providers. For example, client and matter data can pass seamlessly from Tikit’s P4W practice and case management system into NetDocuments. Tikit’s Template Management System (TMS) is also fully integrated with NetDocuments along with Tikit’s time recording application Carpe Diem.

Commenting on their Tikit and NetDocuments new business win, Tikit Chief Operating Officer, Simon Hill comments, “Over the past year, we’ve noticed a growing law firm acceptance of cloud-based solutions. That’s a key reason why Tikit was so keen to partner with NetDocuments – their solution was cloud-based from launch with ISO 27001:2013 certification SOC 2, and SOC 2+ annual audits. NetDocuments has added more than one brand new customer every single day of 2016, including law firms such as Global Top 50 firm King & Spalding, and are continuing this trend in 2017.”

Hill adds, “Just as importantly, we believe our partnership with NetDocuments reflects a wider shift in the legal services market. Interestingly, law firms are increasingly offering a blend of bespoke and automated legal services, depending on their clients’ needs. Our partnership with NetDocuments and other key vendors means we can offer a truly agile and secure cloud-based platform to meet changing market demands.”
